Well, I Think It's Done...

Here are a few photos of "Selena. As usual, the hands are made of plasticine as the fingers dry out quickly when sculpted from water clay. That's why they are a different color from the rest of the sculpture:

    1. Thanks, Salim! This piece did turn out pretty well, but everything seemed much more difficult this Spring with the Seneca and Zack sculptures. Still, they both seem to have gotten traction at last. Seneca's neck needs to be shortened by 1/2 cm and Zack's lengthened by the same amount. What did you think of "Tess" aka "Morning". How are things going for you?

  4. I'm doing good. I have been busy with work and personal projects. I'd be happy to give you feedback but I am not sure which sculpture you are referring too. Which posts do they correspond to? What about you? How did the MFA turn out?

    1. I Would love to see what you are working on! "Tess" is the figure with her arms raised and hands on her head. It's already in bronze, but I do feel that it turned out well. The photo of the clay model is most representative since I haven't yet posted a photo of the finished version and the wax is a bit dark.

The two most recent sculptures: Zak and Seneca, have been more of a struggle. If you have any feedback other than the neck length issue, please let me know! They are both still in clay and I'm working to make them "bronzeworthy"... Regarding the MFA, the first year went pretty well, though not perfectly. I probably shouldn't discuss it here. Btw, did you know Frank enrolled?
