Seneca

This is one of the new bronzes on exhibit in Kirkland.  Jonathan the patina artist and I had fun on Thursday working out a different look that captures the sensual quality of skin and  I think it  also works well with the lighter opaque patina on "Amanda".

Upcoming Show

The Parklane Gallery has invited me back! The exhibit will start on March 3, but several  of my best and most recent bronzes won't be completed until the end of the month. In time for the April art walk  which will happen in downtown Kirkland on Friday 4/10. The images below are of a five week terra cotta study.

Here are some photos of other work cast in resin which allowed me to experiment with higher key patinas.

Completed Sculpture

Here are a few photos of my latest. Now it's time to have it cast in bronze. The sculpture was modeled in water clay, but her right hand is in oil based clay to prevent the fingers from drying and breaking off.

New Photos

Here are some new photos of Yma after the 6th session. I had a great time working on the arms this evening. The model is very defined and took a lovely and expressive pose, which will be more apparent when I add the right hand.
