This seated female figure is hollowed out and ready to fire. Complete with two coats of terra sigillata. As my colleague Ken says, "it's like bathing it in slip" which will make the surface more fine grained and slightly glossy.
I'm a figurative sculptor from Seattle. While earning a BFA at Scripps College, I studied with Aldo Casanova in Claremont, CA as well as Romano Luccachini in Florence, Italy. My MFA comes from the New York academy of Art where I studied under Harvey Citron, Randy Melick and Tony Visco among others. Currently, I teach at the Digipen Institute of Technology in Redmond WA.
