Thanks Chin! This piece is about 17" tall and took 30 hours so far. Depending on what I do with the base it could be considered finished or not except for preparing it for the kiln which should take a couple of hours. For work cast in bronze, the foundry usually needs at least four to six weeks. Their whole process is extremely labor intensive and requires a few different artists with different specialties including mold making and metalwork. The metalworkers actually have to resculpt quite a lot when they reassemble the separately cast pieces.
I'm a figurative sculptor from Seattle. While earning a BFA at Scripps College, I studied with Aldo Casanova in Claremont, CA as well as Romano Luccachini in Florence, Italy. My MFA comes from the New York academy of Art where I studied under Harvey Citron, Randy Melick and Tony Visco among others. Currently, I teach at the Digipen Institute of Technology in Redmond WA.
